Meet the Team!

I’m Mary Kate and this is Traci. Our story started in the bleachers of a college women’s basketball game. We quickly realized that we both had a passion for all things women’s sports. Softball, basketball, and flag football are the sports that we have in common. Rugby, soccer, and volleyball are a few sports that we have each enjoyed respectively. But it is almost impossible to name a sport that the two of us do not enjoy watching at this point. We may have hung up our cleats and our court sneakers, but we certainly still enjoy every great game. From youth sports to the pros, we recognize talent, appreciate a good game and respect great teams.

But there’s so much more to women’s sports than just the game for both of us. As we look back on our more athletic years with fond memories and sore knees, we know that our respective successes are tied to so many things that we learned on the courts and on the fields. So many transferable skills are learned through sports. Networking, responsibility, communication, discipline… We learned so many skills every time we showed up for practice. And maybe that’s the thing we have come to value the most.

Practice. Showing up, taking instructions from the coach, and acting on them. Working on a single skill or a set of skills over and over again. How many days a week did you have practice? And how many of those practices ended with shooting 50 foul shots? Or kicking 25 penalty shots on goal? Or throwing 10 strikes?

Practice. Exercising a skill repetitively in order to become proficient in said skill. That is how we learned to shoot foul shots, and it is also how we learned so many other things needed to succeed in the workplace and in life.

We value the foundation that sports create for women to succeed in life. With that, we have begun the next step in our journey, launching MK&T Sports! to share our philosophies on winning, on the field and more importantly in life. We believe in practice and patience, and we are in the constant pursuit of perfection.

We are here to help you find your team, hone your skills and win your game. With our support, you’ll turn motivation, knowledge and training into real-life success, without burning out or losing sight of what is important.

Your next victory is just around the corner. Let’s do this!
